Welcome!
Fourth grade is an exciting year of growth and learning for children. You won’t believe what your child will be able to achieve! I am looking forward to guiding students as we study the solar system, great literature, all about our state, and more.
I started teaching at Liberty in 2017! I graduated from James Madison University with a Bachelor of Science and a Masters in the Art of Teaching. I concentrated in Math, Science, and Technology, and minored in Educational Media. I want you to feel very involved in your child’s education! Please feel free to come by the classroom whenever you are available. There are also many ways you can support your child’s learning at home. I always ask that students read at least 20 minutes a night. It’s also helpful to ask students what they learned in school that day, in Math, Literacy, Science, and Social Studies. The more they are exposed to the information, the more it will stick! And celebrate your child’s successes, no matter how small they may seem. This will keep them enthusiastic about learning! If you ever need to contact me or set up a meeting before or after school, you can email me at [email protected]. I will do my best to respond within 24 hours of every message. I can't wait to start working with all of you Liberty Eagles. We're going to have a fantastic year together! Katherine Montera |
